Hi! We’ve switched over to our university’s WordPress system. All of our future posts (and archived posts) will be published at that site.
Please visit us at our new home, and be sure to follow us! In the coming months, we’ll share lots of exciting news, photos, and program developments as we begin the first quarter of ebike use at WWU!
Our first bike – trike actually – has arrived. This cargo machine is slated for duty with the Associated Students Publicity Center. Rachael Morris of the Office of Sustainable Transportation, Jack Herring in Central Services and I got to unpack it, like an enormous holiday gift. My kids are going to freak if they find out I didn’t bring that box home. Stay tuned as we mark it up with Western, Sustainable Action Fund, and Viking eBike logos, and put it to use serving the Western community.
Jack unpacks the box.
Rachael and I depart for the Viking Union in near-freezing rain. Wish those Bar Mitts were here, Rachael!
Nate White of the Sustainable Action Fund grant program parks the trike securely in its cage.

Imagine commuting to school or work on a brand-new e-bike… No more sweaty clothes, no more fossil fuels being consumed, and a little bit of exercise everyday!
We are currently getting 4 Solexity 500’s:
and 1 Butchers And Bicycles MK1:
The Butchers And Bicycles MK1 will be used solely by the Publicity Office, but we may opportunities for people to test ride it.
We are currently looking for interested riders! If you are affiliated with WWU and are interested in a FREE long term e-bike loan (up to 10 weeks) , send an email with your name and number to email@example.com.
Commuting to school and/or work can improve your clarity exponentially. There is a lot of truth behind this article..this is definitely worth a quick read to say the least. Even though you have heard this before it is still beneficial to hear it again and encourage yourself to hop on your bike and commute!
